Beyond nearly 1,000 college and university presidents, the NAICU membership also includes a rich array of associations serving various subsets of private colleges and universities. See the links to other associations affiliated with NAICU in the left column. The NAICU Secretariat is an affiliated body composed of about 30 private college and university organizations, such as groups of church- and faith-based institutions, and regional groups of colleges. Also affiliated are approximately 40 separate and independent state associations that represent private colleges in state houses throughout the nation, and known collectively as the National Association of Independent College and University State Executives (NAICUSE). Links to the Secretariat and NAICUSE member associations are in the column to the left. Other groups affiliated with NAICU are the Legal Services Review Panel, which evaluates and advises on legal issues affecting independent colleges and universities, and the State-National Information Network (SNIN) Advisory Committee, a NAICU/NAICUSE cooperative effort for research supporting the groups' policy agenda. |
