Third Antisemitism Hearing Could Further Disrupt Higher Ed

For the third time since December, leaders of prominent universities are set to testify before a House committee about their responses to antisemitic incidents and protests critical of Israel’s war in Gaza. The first two hearings led to serious, disruptive consequences for the presidents, their campuses and higher education writ large—and this one could bring more of the same. Thursday’s hearing, titled “Calling for Accountability: Stopping Antisemitic College Chaos,” comes on the heels of a tumultuous month in higher education.
