At Claremont, More Resources Sought for Migrant Graduate Students

Schools that offer financial aid to undergraduates without legal status do not always have similar programs for older students. Iliana Perez, who came to the United States when she was 8 on a tourist visa, and her classmates and faculty members are asking Claremont Graduate University administrators to extend more financial aid toward graduate students who do not have legal status. They say they have fewer resources than undergraduate students in the same situation.
