Ithaca College Keeps Tuition Down, Quality Up
Ithaca College is expensive. It cost $39,532 in tuition and fees to attend the school last year (2014-15), which is 27 percent higher than the average cost to attend a private college in the United States. Room and board is $14,332, 28 percent higher than average. But IC, under the leadership of its president, Tom Rochon, is in the third year of a self examination aimed at reducing costs on campus in order to slow the rise in tuition and keep the college affordable. The program is working.
