Small Colleges Face Big Challenges

But for smaller institutions that don’t draw many students from outside the state, Ohio presents some challenges.As U.S. colleges and universities return to better fiscal health after several tough post-recession years, recovery is slower in coming to Ohio.  That is not the case for Ohio State University, Ohio University or Kent State. Like most other large research universities and those with well-known brands, such as Denison and Miami, they’re in strong financial shape, analysts say.
