$1.15B Raised by SMU Is Largest Total for a Private Texas University

Southern Methodist University will announce Friday that it has raised $1.15 billion for student scholarships, new faculty positions, buildings and more in a campaign that ended in December.  It’s the largest amount ever raised by a private university in Texas, and a feat few private schools around the country have accomplished, SMU leaders said.
