Baylor Sexual Assault Scandal Could Cost the College $220 Million

The sexual assault scandal at Baylor University could cost the Waco college more than $220 million, according to a report commissioned by a group of high-profile alumni and released Tuesday. That figure, estimated by Austin business valuation company HSSK, compiled estimated costs that Baylor could incur through potential legal settlements, the independent investigation by law firm Pepper Hamilton, fines and penalties plus potential future revenue losses from alumni gifts.  Baylor leaders could not be immediately reached for comment on Tuesday.
