College of St. Mary to Cut Sticker Price by $10,000, Citing Fears of Excluding Lower-Income Students

As the College of St. Mary’s listed tuition price edged toward $30,000 a year, college leaders feared that they would chase off applicants.  They announced this week that they would scale back that price for new and continuing undergraduate students by 33 percent, from $29,954 this fall to $19,950 next fall.
