Cornell University Taps Michigan Provost Martha E. Pollack as Next President

Cornell University named University of Michigan Provost Martha E. Pollack as its next president, tapping its second woman to lead the sprawling Ivy League land-grant institution.  Ms. Pollack, who currently also serves as executive vice president of academic affairs at Michigan, will become Cornell’s 14th president in April. A researcher on artificial intelligence, she will also hold tenured faculty positions in Cornell’s computer science and information science departments.
