Hampden-Sydney Names New President

Hampden-Sydney College has named as its next president an economics professor and the former top academic officer at DePauw University. John Lawrence “Larry” Stimpert, 57, was introduced as the 25th president of the all-male college with 1,087 students near Farmville, VA. He succeeds Christopher B. Howard, who resigned to become president of Robert Morris University.
