NY Colleges Get $35M for Capital Projects

Albany College of Pharmacy, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Siena College are among a group of colleges and universities statewide to win $35.3 million in matching grant funds for capital projects.  Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that the grants are from the Higher Education Capital Matching Grant Program, which requires grantees match about $3 for every $1 the state awards. The projects range from repairs, renovations and new construction of classrooms, laboratories and other facilities.
