Spartanburg Colleges Oppose Allowing Guns on Campus

A bill proposed in the South Carolina Senate would allow students and faculty with concealed weapons permits to carry guns on college campuses. The proposal, filed by Sen. Lee Bright, R-Spartanburg, would legalize what's called "campus carry." However, the bill lets each individual institution, public or private, decide whether to allow guns on campus.
