Utica College Chooses Home-Grown President

After rising to the top of an extensive 11-month national search, lifelong Mohawk Valley resident Laura Casamento plans to continue solidifying Utica College as a regional “anchor institution” when she assumes the mantle of president this summer. Casamento - who currently serves as the college's executive vice president and chief advancement officer - was named as successor to retiring President Todd Hutton on Monday, and will become the first female executive officer in the institution's 70-year history on Aug. 1.
