Fisk University Names Kevin Rome as New President

Fisk University announced Thursday that Kevin Rome, an administrator with years of experience at historically black colleges, would serve as its next president. Rome will replace Interim President Frank Sims, who has led the university since the previous president, H. James Williams, abruptly resigned in 2015. Rome's selection caps an eight-month search that included forums with alumni in multiple states, faculty and staff, and other Fisk supporters.
