Ferrum College President Released from Contract After Less Than a Year at the Helm

 Less than a year after becoming president of Ferrum College, the school announced Thursday night that Joseph “Jody” Spooner has been released from his contract.  The decision was effective Wednesday. It’s not immediately clear what prompted the Ferrum College Board of Trustees to make the move. Spooner began serving as president Aug. 1.
