Wesleyan, Concordia Report Huge Enrollment Growth
One private liberal arts college in the Lincoln area welcomed its largest freshmen class in history, while another saw its biggest incoming cohort in nearly half a century. Nebraska Wesleyan University's 490 incoming students, including nonresident students from 19 states and 60 transfer students, marks the largest first-year class in the university's 141-year history. Concordia University (NE) is welcoming 428 students, its largest incoming class in decades, driving total undergraduate enrollment to 1,247 students this year. That's the highest student count in 45 years, and the eighth largest in Concordia's 125-year history.
