University of Rochester Names First Woman President, Sarah Mangelsdorf

The University of Rochester on Monday announced University of Wisconsin-Madison Provost Sarah Mangelsdorf as its new president, making her the first female leader in the school's 168-year  history.  Mangelsdorf will begin in the summer, replacing interim president Richard Feldman.   In a brief address Monday, she said her first responsibility is to ensure UR's position in academia as well as the Rochester community.
