Steinmayer Named Lesley’s Seventh President, Seeing Its Path To Be a ‘Driving Force of Change’

Following a nationwide search, Lesley University has selected Janet L. Steinmayer as the university’s seventh president. Steinmayer, a Lesley board member who is now president of Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut, begins her term at Lesley in July succeeding interim president Richard S. Hansen. Hansen had been interim president since Sept. 1; previous president Jeff A. Weiss resigned in June due to personal health reasons after serving for a little less than two years.
