Public-Private Partnership Enhances Healthcare Education as Radford University Carilion - Press Release

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) has approved the merger of Jefferson College of Health Sciences into Radford University, thereby formally establishing Radford University Carilion (RUC), an educational site located in Roanoke, Virginia focused on the delivery of health sciences programming. Approval by SACSCOC Board of Trustees marks the final step in an 18-month comprehensive merger process with prior approvals by the Commonwealth of Virginia through the General Assembly and the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
