John McCardell to Step Down as Vice-Chancellor of Sewanee

John M. McCardell Jr., who has served since 2010 as vice-chancellor and president of the University of the South, has announced his plans to step down in July 2020, the Rt. Rev. Rob Skirving, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina and chancellor of the University, announced Wenesday. Sewanee is governed by 28 Episcopal dioceses, the only university so directly related to The Episcopal Church.
