Madonna University Students Lose Grants Amid State Budget Struggles

As part of the budget struggles going on between Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan legislature, the governor vetoed 147 line items on Oct. 7. One of those items was $38 million worth of funding that goes toward private colleges like Madonna University in Livonia. The money, part of which is called the Michigan Tuition Grant, is a need-based grant used by about 700 Madonna students .
