COVID-19 Pandemic Spurs More Institutions To Go With Test-Optional Admissions - Opinion Piece

Michael T. Nietzel writes: The COVID-19 pandemic is accelerating the movement to test-optional admissions at colleges across the country. These decisions come as announcements that nationwide testing dates were being either postponed or cancelled altogether. The ACT session on April 4 has been postponed until June 13, and the SAT scheduled for May 2 is cancelled (At this time, the June 6, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration has not been cancelled, but the College Board indicated it would continue to assess the situation).
