Christian Brothers University President Leaves, Former Saint Francis Healthcare CEO Named Interim

Christian Brothers University (CBU) announced Nov. 5 that its president, Jack Shannon, "has chosen to seek opportunities elsewhere." Shannon had been in that position since July 2019. He came from Montclair State University and held advancement and economic development positions in multiple colleges and nonprofits. Shannon had replaced John Smarrelli Jr., who left after a decade leading the school.
