Framing the Narrative With a New Role

Sacred Heart University (CT) administrators have long encouraged students to understand the institution’s mission and values by attending seminars and events designed to reflect and promote the “Pioneer Journey,” the academic, spiritual and social-emotional learning path that encompasses the student experience at the university. The Roman Catholic institution in Fairfield, Conn., recently launched a new initiative to expand and promote this effort campuswide and to ensure students not only understand the university’s core values but also live them and put them into action.
