Principia College Names New President

Principia College, a private liberal arts college in Elsah, Illinois, has named a college administrator from Mississippi as its next president, following what officials said was a semester-long search. Daniel Norton, currently director of the Center for International Education at the University of Southern Mississippi, will become Principia's new president, effective July 1, the college announced Thursday. He'll succeed outgoing president John Williams, who began a three-year term in 2020 after having served as interim college president since 2019.
