Leaders of Local Private Colleges Determined Despite Anticipated Challenges

University of Dubuque President Jeffrey Bullock doesn’t mince words when talking about the struggles he foresees for the future of higher education. Various challenges, including declining enrollment, the end of COVID-19-related aid and what he sees as poor financial planning at many institutions across the country contribute to his belief that in the next few years, “a lot of” colleges and universities will be forced to close.
