University of San Francisco President Resigns After 10-Year Run

The president of the University of San Francisco, Paul J. Fitzgerald, resigned Monday after a 10-year tenure that included record fundraising and improving campus facilities, officials for the school said. His resignation comes just one month after fall semester classes began. University officials said the search for Fitzgerald’s replacement would begin immediately. It was unclear when Fitzgerald will leave his role.
