Luther Rice College & Seminary, based in Lithonia, Georgia, has taken legal action against state officials, challenging the exclusion of its students from receiving state financial aid. In the lawsuit filed by the Alliance Defending Freedom in the U.S. District Court in Atlanta, the college argues that the policy, which withholds aid for schools deemed as "colleges of theology or divinity," stands as discriminatory against religious institutions.
