Emmanuel College's New President Says Catholic identity Remains Key

Emmanuel College (MA) is situated in what seems like the ideal location: blocks from world-renowned hospitals, surrounded by several other colleges and near the cultural draw of Fenway. But it’s both a blessing and a curse, says Beth Ross, who joined the college more than 20 years ago and is starting her first school year as president. What may help Emmanuel attract students are some of the same things that makes it harder for the small private Catholic to stand out.
