Marquette Names Kimo Ah Yun University’s 25th President

Following a months-long search, the state’s largest private higher education institution has a new leader. Marquette University named Acting President and Provost Kimo Ah Yun as the 25th president in the school’s 143-year history. Ah Yun had been serving as acting president for the university since the sudden passing of former President Michael Lovell in June. Following his unanimous election by the Marquette University Board of Trustees, Ah Yun becomes the first person of color to lead Marquette. He is also the second lay president in the school’s history, following in his predecessor’s footsteps.
