Mississippi College Is Changing Its Name and Dropping the Football Program

Mississippi College is changing its name and eliminating the football program. The Mississippi College Board of Trustees announced the institutional name change to Mississippi Christian University. The Board of Trustees also approved a preliminary plan for academic reorganization and a strategic realignment of the athletic department. The academic reorganization plan includes consolidating the School of Christian Studies and the Arts with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School of Education will be renamed the School of Education and Human Science.
