Franklin & Marshall College Name City College of New York Dean as 17th President

Franklin & Marshall College (PA) has named City College of New York Dean Andrew Rich as its 17th president to replace current President Barbara Altmann upon her retirement in July. In August, Altmann announced her retirement – scheduled for the end of the 2024-25 school year – after seven years leading the institution in Lancaster city. Rich’s background is in political science with both a bachelor’s and doctorate degree in the subject earned at the University of Richmond and Yale University, respectively. Rich has also taught political science at both CCNY and Wake Forest University.
