The Impossible College Presidency

Brian Rosenberg, president emeritus of Macalester College (MN) and a visiting professor in the Harvard Graduate School of Education, wrote: 

The combination of this year’s campus protests, the politically motivated scapegoating of higher education, economic stressors, social media, and a general coarsening of our public discourse has made things significantly worse for current presidents — or for those who were presidents before being chased from office.
