Education Secretary Addresses NAICU Meeting, Calls for Cooperation

In his first appearance before a higher education association audience, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan endorsed the emphasis on education in the stimulus bill now under consideration. Speaking to the 450 attendees this morning, Duncan noted the importance of higher education as an economic force, and called for unified effort on increasing the Pell grant.
