Veterans GI Tuition Benefits Increase

The Department of Veterans Affairs announced a 4.2 percent increase in the Post-9/11 GI Bill maximum tuition and fees amounts payable for the 2016-2017 academic year, and an increase in the amount reimbursed for certain licensing tests. The new amounts are effective October 1, 2016.

The change is based on a comparison of year-over-year tuition costs, calculated by the National Center for Education Statistic as part of a required, annual re-estimate of the federally reimbursable allowance for tuition and fees.
