H-1B Visa Premium Processing Reinstated for Higher Education and Research Organizations
Based in part on input from NAICU and other organizations in the higher education community, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that premium processing of H-1B visas will resume for colleges and universities, related nonprofits, and governmental research organizations.
The reversal comes after USCIS announced a six-month suspension of premium processing of H-1B visas earlier this year.
The comments sent by the higher education community described the urgent need to reinstate premium processing for colleges and universities that rely on international faculty, staff, researchers and others who are necessary to our campus functions.
