FAFSA Now Available on Mobile Devices
Students and their families are now able to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) via mobile app. The myFAFSA feature is available through the larger myStudentAid app which can be found in either the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
The app features much of the functionality of the web-based FAFSA application, including usage of the IRS data retrieval tool and the automatic transfer of the borrower’s information to state aid applications in participating states. The seven states that allow for the automatic transfer through the app are Iowa, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.
The myStudentAid app also features additional components on federal student aid, including individuals’ student aid history and a mobile version of the College Scorecard.
