College Scorecard Adds Data on Post-Graduation Earnings

The Department of Education recently released an updated version of the College Scorecard, adding program-level data on median earnings two years after students graduate to the consumer information tool for students and families.

According to the Department, the new data will eventually provide “a long-range view of how postsecondary graduates within a field of study and at different credential levels fare throughout their careers.” The Department also added data on Parent PLUS loans and announced that it will continue to update the Scorecard with new program-level data on student loan repayment and earnings as new information becomes available.

In a stated effort to increase transparency, the Trump Administration has taken several steps to revise the Scorecard in recent years. Last year, for example, the Department added information on student loan debt, broken down by field of study.
