Department Provides Tool to Help Complete FISAP Applications
The Department of Education announced that it has developed an online, self-paced training module to assist colleges and universities with completing the Fiscal Operations Report for 2019–20 and Application to Participate for 2021–22 (FISAP). The FISAP is available on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website and must be submitted no later than Nov. 2, 2020.
Colleges and universities that request Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) or Federal Work-Study (FWS) program funds for the 2021–22 award year and/or that had either FSEOG or FWS expenditures or Federal Perkins Loan activity for the 2019–20 award year must complete the application.
According to the Department, the training module reviews the sections of the FISAP and discusses the most commonly made errors when completing the form. The training is intended for financial aid and business office staff who are responsible for completing the FISAP, especially those who are new to completing the form.
