CRRSAA Allocations for TCUs, MSIs, and SIP Institutions Released
Late last month, the Department of Education quietly released the allocation amounts under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (CRRSAA) for Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs), and institutions participating in the Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP).
CRRSSA sets aside $1.7 billion for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), TCUs, MSIs, and institutions participating in the SIP program to use to respond to COVID-19. Institutions receiving these funds are able to use the resources to address institutional needs.
Unfortunately, the Department has yet to release the allocation amounts for HBCUs.
