$80 Million in Infrastructure Grants Available

As part of the Biden Administration’s Investing in America tour, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden highlighted the availability of $80 million in grants to “develop, strengthen, and scale” pathways to infrastructure jobs.

An estimated 25 grants, each between $500,000 and $5 million, are expected to be awarded on two separate tracks: 1) a development track, which would help establish local or regional partnerships for infrastructure training programs; and 2) a scaling track, which would seek to expand existing local or regional training partnership models to the state or national level.

The grants will be managed and administered through the Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration’s Building Pathways to Infrastructure Jobs Grant program. Private, nonprofit institutions are eligible to apply as part of public-private partnerships to develop a talent pipeline for careers in the infrastructure industry. Applications are due July 7, 2023.
