GI Bill Outcomes Research
The American Institutes for Research (AIR) released another report from a major study on Post-9/11 GI Bill veteran student outcomes that drills down to examine completion rates and post-graduate earnings by multiple veteran and enrollment characteristics. The data show that while 18% of veteran students use their Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits at 4-year private, nonprofit institutions, these veteran students have the highest completion rates and earnings compared to their peers attending other sectors of higher education.
AIR coordinated research from an interagency data sharing agreement to use individual veteran data from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Veterans Benefit Administration, the Department of Defense, the Internal Revenue Service, the Census Bureau, and the National Student Clearinghouse.
