Information and Analysis on Issues That Impact Higher Education
To support its members, and meet organizational goals, NAICU tracks campus trends, conducts research, analyzes issues, and publishes information that provides a snapshot of America's private, nonprofit colleges and universities.
Students across the nation benefit from numerous federal student aid programs. Each year, NAICU compiles the data on the number of awards and total dollar amounts for each federal program, including: Pell Grants, campus-based programs (SEOG, Federal Work-Study, and Perkins Loans), and federal loan programs. The data is then published by state and by congressional district. Data are for students at all institutions of higher education (public, private nonprofit, for-profit; four-year, two-year, and less than two-year) in the state that participate in the federal student aid programs. NAICU members can request institutional level data.
